For over 80 years, ACGIH® has been respected for its dedication to the industrial hygiene and occupational and environmental health and safety communities. We have grown and expanded without losing sight of our original goal – to encourage the interchange of experience among industrial hygiene workers and to collect and make accessible such information and data as might be of aid to them in the proper fulfillment of their duties. This original goal is reflected in both our current mission – the advancement of occupational and environmental health – and in our tagline: Defining Science for OEHS Experts.

This scientific information and data are provided to members and others in the industry through ACGIH® and AIHA’s monthly peer-reviewed journal, the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene (JOEH), and our professional conferences and seminars, as well as through our vast list of technical and scientific publications, including the renowned TLVs® and BEIs® book.

Organisation

L’ADEME, dont le siège social est à Angers, regroupe plus de 1 000 collaborateurs répartis en :

- 3 sites pour les services centraux à Angers (49), Paris (75) et Valbonne (06) ;
- 17 directions régionales, 13 en territoire métropolitain et 4 en outremer, qui maillent à travers 26 implantations l’ensemble du territoire ;
- 3 représentations dans les territoires d’outre-mer.

 

Quatre métiers
- connaître : l’ADEME assure l’animation et participe au financement de la recherche et de l’innovation, à la constitution et à l’animation de systèmes d’observation pour mieux connaître l’évolution des filières ;
- convaincre et mobiliser : parce que l’information et la sensibilisation des publics sont des conditions essentielles de réussite des politiques environnementales, l’ADEME met en œuvre des campagnes de communication pour faire évoluer les mentalités, les comportements et les actes d’achat et d’investissement ;
- conseiller : l’ADEME assure un rôle de conseil pour orienter les choix des acteurs socio-économiques et élabore des outils et méthodes adaptés à leurs attentes. La diffusion directe par des relais de conseil de qualité est une composante majeure de la mise à disposition de son expertise ;
- aider à réaliser : l’Agence déploie des types de soutien financier gradués et favorise la mise en œuvre de références régionales et nationales.
 

Bréal

Les éditions Bréal sont une maison d'édition française fondée en 1969 par Jean-Michel Zunquin. Elle est devenue, en 2014, une marque éditoriale exploitée par le groupe Studyrama.

À l'origine, la spécialité scolaire et parascolaire de Bréal se manifeste dans des précis (de science, d'économie...) pour classes préparatoires et des fiches pour le lycée et l'université.

La maison publie aussi depuis 1999 des manuels pour le collège et des essais, et intègre de nouveaux auteurs comme Yves Cochet, Bernard Maris, Marcela Iacub, Patrice Maniglier, Emmanuel Pierrat, François Bégaudeau, Jean-Paul Escande, Michel Onfray, Serge Hefez, Jean-Paul Guedj, Joann Sfar, Ferrante Ferranti, Marc Montoussé, Laurent Carroué, Didier Collet, Claude Ruiz, Sylvie Brunel, Frédéric Fougerat ou, plus récemment, Kilien Stengel et François Jost.

Points est une maison d'édition de poche généraliste (littérature, policier, documents, poésie, thriller, sciences humaines...). 

Aujourd’hui, Points vend près de 4 millions de livres par an. Avec approximativement 300 nouveautés chaque année (environ 250 en Points et 50 en Points thématique) et un catalogue actif de presque 6000 références, c’est un éditeur majeur du marché du poche adulte.

Fondée en 1970 au sein des Éditions du Seuil par Bruno Flamand, la collection de poche Points a d’abord commencé avec un catalogue de sciences humaines uniquement, les Points thématiques.

CECM/ECCS/EKS

ECCS is the ONLY organisation which brings together the Steel Industry, the Fabricators and Contracting specialists, and the academic world through an international network of construction representatives, steel producers, and technical centres.

ECCS is a federation of 18 national associations of steel constructors as full members. it gathers also associate and supporting members, and since recently company members. This will help a closer cooperation with upstream and downstream players such as architects, civil engineers and companies related to steel construction to seat around the table for the benefit of the whole industry and to enhance discussions between researchers and the industry.

ECCS is a fully service oriented and not-for-profit-organisation.

ECCS has a long history. It was inaugurated in Zürich in 1955, in parallel with the creation of the European Community for Coal and Steel. The Convention became then the ideal platform for the promotion and research of the European Constructional Steelwork industry and paved the way of the present-day European codes and standards through the creation of Technical Committees of experts.

The passionate history of the European Convention is told in a publication relating the whole history of the Institution itself but also the committees, technical and promotional, which founded today’s codes and also the men and women who, all over their careers and research work, largely contributed to the development of the sector.”
