gestalten continues to actively reimagine the way in which we approach publishing. With our extensive range of titles, we not only seek to enhance and to enrich our reader's lives, but to continually engage with the surrounding creative landscape.

Our origin story began with a focus on the aesthetic, particularly that of graphic design and, over the last two decades, the scope of both our content and our expertise has widened. Today, using a myriad of observations of culture, people, art, and other intimate, inspirational informants, we document and anticipate vital movements in architecture, visual culture, design & fashion, escapism, food & beverages, travel, and contemporary art. In 2014, Little Gestalten joined the literary ranks and ensured that there was a place for readers of all ages within the world of gestalten.

The gestalten narrative exists beyond the textual realm; regardless of the medium at hand, gestalten wishes to inform and inspire our community. We welcome you to enter gestalten's world of creative culture, whether between our pages, indulging in images and films online or at one of our international events. We look forward to the result: mutual inspiration.

Symétrie

Composer, interpréter, enseigner, commenter ou analyser, rêver ou jouer la musique, voici ce que propose Symétrie, maison d'édition indépendante spécialisée dans le domaine musical. Outre les livres de musicologie (études, monographies et collectifs de la collection Symétrie Recherche), son catalogue propose des ouvrages de pédagogie ou de médecine de la voix (ostéopathie et orthophonie) ou encore des biographies et des écrits de musiciens.

Symétrie publie également des partitions dans le domaine de l'opéra, de la musique symphonique ou de la musique de chambre et s'est donné pour mission de favoriser la redécouverte du patrimoine musical français du grand XIXe siècle (1780-1920).

BNF

L'activité éditoriale de la BnF obéit d'une part à une mission de service public (production d'ouvrages de référence et d'instruments de recherche) et d'autre part à un souci de valorisation des collections à destination d'un large public (ouvrages s'inscrivant dans un cadre concurrentiel et destinés à la vente en librairie aussi bien qu'à la vente sur sites). La Bibliothèque nationale de France est un éditeur public de taille moyenne dont le catalogue compte un peu plus de mille titres.

Dokument Press

Dokument Press is both a publisher and a knowledge providing company with its roots in the Swedish hip hop movement. The company started in 2000 sprung out of the graffiti magazine UP that was founded in 1992. Today, we cover a broad range of cultural expressions.
Our publishing includes book titles that both reaches large audiences and affects social discourse.
We give lectures and workshops both in Sweden and abroad, mainly on street culture, creativity, civic participation and the right to public space.
We also act as producers. We set up exhibitions, put together books and catalogs, do mural painting as well as research and investigation, risk analysis and media management at cultural production.
In total this makes us a dynamic and innovative company with broad expertise and the ability to reach a large audience.
Our clients include Riksutställningar, ABF, White architects, Sweco, Copenhagen Municipality, College of Arts (Konstfack), The Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Stockholm and Uppsala University, the City of Gothenburg and the Swedish Parliament.

Cécile Defaut (Éditions)

Créées en 2004 à Nantes, les éditions nouvelles Cécile Defaut, ont développé un ensemble de publications (à raison en moyenne de 15 titres par an) dans le champ des lettres, de la philosophie et des sciences humaines en général.

Un catalogue riche et exigeant comprenant des philosophes comme Paul Valadier, Marcel Gauchet, Marcel Conche, des écrivains étrangers (Kenzaburô Oé, Prix Nobel de littérature 1994, japonais), des romanciers (Philippe Sollers, Philippe Forest, Pierre Bergounioux), des poètes (Jean-Claude Pinson) et des psychanalystes (Philippe Lacadée, Gilles Chatenay), etc.

Près d'une centaine de titres qui sont autant d'invitations à une réflexion en prise sur le monde d'aujourd'hui à travers les grandes questions qui nous concernent et nous touchent tous.
