Chandos Publishing

Founded in 2017 by specialist book dealer Richard Carrick, Chandos Publications is dedicated to bringing original and exciting aviation and military books to market.

Having run a successful on-line aviation and military bookselling operation since 2010, Rich, a keen model maker, felt that publishing was a natural extension to his activities and from the start wanted to ensure a high level of production quality combined with subjects of interest among aviation and military enthusiasts.

Says Rich,

‘Welcome to Chandos Publications. I am delighted to bring to the aviation and military literature market a new and exciting range of books.  I will be working with a highly regarded team of professional authors, editors, designers and enthusiasts in the pursuit of accuracy and attention to detail.

I have a lifelong interest in military history. My father is a founding member of the International Plastic Modellers Society, and I have spent over 30 years building scale models. For a long time, I have been aware of the huge crossover potential between the two disciplines of model-making and book collecting.  In my capacity as a military and aviation book dealer, I have had the opportunity to get to know a large number of publishers and authors, many of whom are also model-makers. I realised that modellers and enthusiasts are always looking for new and interesting books, whether to use as references for a model build, or simply to read, cherish and display on their bookcases. Before setting up Chandos I had a good idea of the kind of books that I wanted to produce.  Taking my cue from such established and successful publishers as Classic Publications, Monogram, Schiffer, JaPo, Trojca and Eagle Editions, my aim is to produce high-quality titles that you will be proud to own. They can be used both as stand-alone history books, and as primary references to help ensure an accurate model build. The initial focus will be on World War Two Luftwaffe subjects, although I am also hoping to explore other areas of military history. For this, and future projects, I have employed the services of the original Classic Publications team of Robert Forsyth, Eddie J. Creek, Arthur Bentley and Mark Nelson. Our first book will be a completely re-worked, expanded and up-dated edition of Martin Pegg’s seminal 1997 work Hs 129 Panzerjäger!, originally published by Classic.  Our second book is a fascinating title covering late-war Luftwaffe operations using the Arado Ar 234. I hope that these two books will be the first of many in our planned ‘Luftwaffe Library’ series.

Revue Eclipses

Éclipses est une revue monographique qui paraît deux fois par an, en juin et en décembre.

Éclipses est diffusée en librairie et peut également être commandée directement via ce site Internet.

Composé d’une vingtaine de contributions rédigées par des spécialistes, chaque volume de la revue Éclipses (168 pages) traite de l’œuvre d’un cinéaste en particulier, envisagée sous ses différents aspects.

Les différentes livraisons d’Éclipses offrent de nouvelles perspectives d’analyse, originales, plurielles et ouvertes à tous les types d’approches – de l’essai à l’étude de séquences ou de fragments mis en rapport, du regroupement thématique à la cartographie des différents effets d’image –, ceci afin de mieux répondre aux exigences de tout spectateur attentif aux mutations du cinéma, à son histoire et à ses spécificités.

Petit Pavé (Éditions Le)

Les éditions du Petit Pavé sont nées au siècle dernier en bord de Loire, au pays de Rabelais, Hervé Bazin, ou Julien Gracq...

Créées en Novembre 1995 par deux fous du délits d'encre et de la bouteille à la mer, Noëlle JOFFARD et Gérard CHERBONNIER, les Éditions du Petit Pavé publient, à compte d’éditeur, une vingtaine d’ouvrages par an et possèdent aujourd’hui un catalogue de 350 titres : roman, essai, poésie, biographie, nouvelles, répartis dans plusieurs collections : dans les pas, livresk, obzor, points et contrepoints, etc.

CEMS

Le CEMS est une unité de recherche (EHESS/CNRS UMR8044/INSERM U1276) qui comporte une trentaine de chercheurs et enseignants chercheurs.

Il est membre du LabEx TEPSIS (Transformation de l'Etat Politisation des sociétés Institution du social), de l'IFRIS (Institut Francilien Recherche Innovation Société), et de l'EUR GSST (Ecole Universitaire de Recherche Sciences Sociales du Genre et de la Sexualité).

Il héberge le Centre d'Etudes John Dewey/Center for Dewey Studies France.

Collodion

Les ouvrages originaux édités par Collodion ne sont pas à considérer comme des tirages de tête mais comme le tirage original résultant du travail conjoint des acteurs du livre : l’écrivain, le plasticien et l’éditeur-imprimeur.
Ils ont recours aux techniques des arts graphiques, typographie, sérigraphie, offset pour le texte, gravure, lithographie, sérigraphie, offset, etc.. pour les images.

Les auteurs représentés appartiennent aux différents courants de poésie contemporaine sans présenter des « chapelles ». Il s’agit de s’attacher à la poésie contemporaine.
Quant aux plasticiens, si pour la plupart ils appartiennent au courant figuratif, cela ne représente absolument pas une exclusive rendue évidente par le contenu du texte et la volonté affichée concernant l’ouvrage final.

Color Gang

Bréal

Les éditions Bréal sont une maison d'édition française fondée en 1969 par Jean-Michel Zunquin. Elle est devenue, en 2014, une marque éditoriale exploitée par le groupe Studyrama.

À l'origine, la spécialité scolaire et parascolaire de Bréal se manifeste dans des précis (de science, d'économie...) pour classes préparatoires et des fiches pour le lycée et l'université.

La maison publie aussi depuis 1999 des manuels pour le collège et des essais, et intègre de nouveaux auteurs comme Yves Cochet, Bernard Maris, Marcela Iacub, Patrice Maniglier, Emmanuel Pierrat, François Bégaudeau, Jean-Paul Escande, Michel Onfray, Serge Hefez, Jean-Paul Guedj, Joann Sfar, Ferrante Ferranti, Marc Montoussé, Laurent Carroué, Didier Collet, Claude Ruiz, Sylvie Brunel, Frédéric Fougerat ou, plus récemment, Kilien Stengel et François Jost.
